Re: This life is carnivale
This is a thread I did once at the sister site.

Here is how it works.

At a random time I will take the last word from the subject lines on the front page of GLP.

This will give me a random like list of words, which I will then break up into short word groups which seem to fit together, but adjacent to the linear list created above.

I will then post the list.

Then I will decode the list in gematrix.

So it's like taking a random list of phrases and converting it to numbers where other random phrases with the same numeric value are generated.

I will pick decoded phrases that seem to fit, and we will see what happens.

It's funny how well it works, and GLP has a good amount of traffic for this type of test.

I predicted an earthquake once like this, but I think even more impressive is the ability to get a feel for what is happening in the GLP world. On the sister site we seemed to get a snapshot of about 5 days into the future.

I will post the first final word list and time the snapshot was taken next.

I think there is a part of my brain that does this. Probably a big reason I come here.

I also have a small contained group that I watch, with permission of course, and see what bleeds through.

My idea was starting to work well. I was ambitious to try and make 50 threads just so I could scry the GLP data.

I might have a work around that will please everyone.

I have a list of words.
I need threads posted so that the word on the list ends up in it's own thread title and at the end of that title.

Trouble is it's got a lot of screwy words that are hard to pass in normal conversation.

If I am just converting the end data results to number anyway I can simply replace the offending words with a word that is equal numerically.

I should have started that way probably, but perhaps the first way is more fun.

Carnivale was grittier.
When the one great scorer comes to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost but how you played the game.

The stance and stare of a wolf you find yourself alone with will tell you that he is prepared to treat you as you would treat him. Whether that comforts or frightens you, he has told you all you need know about both.

 Quoting: Tau_541

A long time ago on some other forum I was doing a scrying exercise against the forum data to predict the future.

I have always liked the song.

At the start of the song there is a word list.

Then the rest of the song is the sentence that word list goes into.

Back then I thought if you could find the day on GLP where the last word in the song sentences was the last word in the subject title...

You might learn more about the universe.

My searches turned up negative for that theory to be true.

Then I realized. What if the past could be the future.

What if I made the day on GLP where the above conditions were true?

I should still end up knowing more about the universe than when I started.

They didn't like me making 48 different threads with a bunch of random words from clockwork orange in them.

This is one of the leftover threads from that attempt.
