You will see rising food prices in restaurants with the influx of foreigners.

Whether they are third worlders or poorly mannered europeans, you will see an increase in food prices at restaurants eventually sooner or later.

Here's why:

A server in Illinois, for example, makes 4.95 an hour. This is below minimum wage but it is allowed because in the United States it is understood that (unless your server messed up on purpose unapologetically) we tip servers.

The tip the server receives is shared with bartender, busser and sometimes food runners.

The amount of tips you share is not based on tips you receive, tip share is based on sales because the restaurant assumes the server is being tipped. So, if I sell 100 dollars worth of food and drink I owe money to the bartender and busser -regardless if I am tipped or not.

This results in making less than minimum wage.

It's primarily immigrants and tourists who completely fuck their server.

The restaurant has to pay the difference if you make less than min wage because of not being tipped by foreigners.

As this continues restaurants will have to raise food prices to pay wages as the tipping system disappears.
