Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78101820 I wish I could get away with it. He wants to be an aeronautical engineer. Wanted to work for Nasa, but now wants to either work for or BE Elon Musk. So many that I had to build shelves around his room at the ceiling so he wouldnt look like a hoarder. Think the 40 year old virgin as a 15 year old boy. Quoting: Brandywine no prob, they have alot more than just Mortal Kombat some are 75 bucks at the moment, i got a 75 dollar centipede [link to deals.consolekits.com (secure)] search tool just for those put your zip in and it shows all the deals on those arcade cabinets at wal-marts in your area my wal-mart has Rampage for 75 in stock Last Edited by Dogfood™ on 11/24/2019 02:32 PM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78191078 United States 11/24/2019 02:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My son usually always asks for expensive gifts. This year hes asked for a drum set. Which.. is NOT going to happen. It will eventually, but not until I can soundproof a bedroom in the basement. But that can't happen until I can afford it since the basement was flooded this past spring and I've been slowly replacing all the flooring and paying for the repairs has been outrageously expensive. Quoting: Brandywine He's a good kid. Likes video games, has basically all the electronics available. Laptop, xbox, switch, etc. Gets good grades, isn't a snowflake, not entitled. He recently found out he has Marfans Syndrome so he cant compete in sports anymore, so he's devastated about that. He cant even ride his bike until his doc says it's ok. I feel horrible. I'm just at a loss right now as to what to get him. I've gotten him his smaller gifts that I normally get. Pajamas, clothes, funny socks, but I always get one more expensive gift. I hate gift cards, they take no thought and are impersonal. Plus... I'm a female. When you were 15, what made you happy? Help! get him an electronic drum kit, my son has both, it makes a big difference |

Roland makes inexpensive sets which have good resell value if noonger played. They are not very loud but you can hear some tapping sounds Son will use headphones and can learn to play an instrument As a 15 year old who played drums everyday it kept me out of trouble and gave me an outlet for teen agnst |

Heck, I was deep into it with older women, girls my age, younger and exploring various fetishes at 15, lol. Even had fun with 2 moms! :) Man, kids today. They have it all, but don't appreciate it. |

He wants to move on to a real one that he can start a band with. I'm all for it, I play the guitar and have always nurtured that side of my kids. I think a lot of it has to do with his Bio Dad. Hes got 5 siblings that he cant find because they are all by different women and his dad doesn't see any of them. His Dad only sees him because I forced it to happen. He doesnt want to be like him in that sense. He loves him, but doesn't want to repeat his patterns. I was young and dumb. Born in time to play Kepler space program If he wants to work for NASA or SpaceX well maby give him a telescope or that new DJI robotmaster. Or KSP game on steam. Let him learn a programming language like java or C#. That DJI drone is also a learning experience. Cause you you have put it together yourself and you can also code it if you want. |

Oh hes had the heads up. See my other post above. At least I feel safe knowing he wont be unprotected when he does decide to have sex. And I know he will come to me. He told on himself last week for getting high with a friend. Had to have the talk with him about not getting in too deep, and how to be smart about it. Have no issue with it other than hes a bit young. I just want him to be smart about it and not get in trouble its still illegal where I'm at.
