I have quite enough holiday obligations with my family, screw those assholes at work. I have family assholes to deal with. Quit moving across the country to get away from yours and you wont need your secret santas to coddle you. Yeah, I'm a fucking asshole. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76100954 You may think it's bullshit, which is fine, but it's not causing you "anxiety" or making you dip into your savings so you don't lose face. I can understand Secret Santa might be a pain but it's not a one of life's "triggers". Amen Triggered by it vs not liking it are two different things If Secret Santa is freaking them out, how do they deal with a mortgage? |

If you like your co-workers it might be a fun thing, but there should be a dollar cap on it. I think $20 is more than enough. If you don't like your co-workers, it's a bit of a pain, but just do it and try to have some fun. Or opt out. Not a big deal but everything seems to upset these millennials. I think it's really about the War on Christmas. Ya, like a dog whistle to the millennials Highly doubt it triggers most of them, it’s just a vehicle to bash Christmas I definitely think it's an anti-Christmas thing. They're so much FUN to be around! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77930416 United States 11/25/2019 09:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | These people are MENTAL CASES. Buy something at CVS for $10 or $20 bucks. Quoting: Blue State Rebel What's probably REALLY triggering them is the SANTA part because they HATE CHRISTMAS. They HATE any reference to Christianity. What is so great about Christianity? There are pedophiles who hunt for their child victims in the churches these days. Church is not safe for children, because of the pedophiles. |

Quoting: ~kpm~ A study found that Secret Santa gift exchanges trigger anxiety in many millennials. Dr. Ashley Weinberg, a psychology lecturer at the University of Salford in Manchester, claimed the holiday gift swap triggers anxiety in those who overspend because they don’t want to appear "stingy." The study from Jobsite found that 26% of millennials admitted to dipping into savings or overdrafting their accounts to fund an office gift. Around 17% reported that they “felt judged” by their co-workers based on the gift they chose to contribute. In total, 78% of millennials felt they contributed “more than they should” to an office party gift compared to 58% of the rest of the workforce. Quoting: End Times Observer 72311901 Why don’t we just take ALL of the easily “triggered” millennials and put them on their very own island all by themselves. This way they can sort things out and they won’t be such a drain on the rest of society. BRILLIANT IDEA! Years ago, there was a story on the news about a Herpes outbreak in a nearby town. Someone I know had just partied there the weekend before the story broke. Needless to say, he was fuming mad! His solution to THAT problem, build a Herpes Hotel and move all of 'those' people into it. Your idea tops that one! |

Quoting: ALL IS ONE IS ALL This is a division point for humans... this 4d we are in.. some are moving really down hill.. they cannot cope so they engage in rituals that do not serve... If someone doesn't like it.. they can grow their balls and not participate as to secret santa thing. I bombed out of gift campaigns of all sorts years ago... it has grown to merchanizing excess... Has nothing to do with secret santa pressure. I don't participate in rituals that do not suit. We are so caught up in ritual... and a certain amount is important but it had gotten hugely controlling. Excess ritual is behind satanism.... I agree. Don’t participate if you don’t want to. Opt out. Honestly who needs more stuff. Actually help someone from the heart. If you want to. And it doesn’t have to be monetarily. |
