Can't add much to this except I volunteered for funeral detail when I was in Marine Corps. We did a burial on the reservation for a WWII vet, they have their own rules there.

Marine was buried on a hill, just a hole dug up with shovels, no traditional tombstone. Not a graveyard. Thankful I was on rifle detail and not carrying casket up that hill. Good people, had us stay for lunch. Something I will never forget.
