Anonymous Coward User ID: 78207469 United States 11/29/2019 06:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Exactly, zero debt here and i'll continue to keep my hunks of junk running. It's a hell of a lot cheaper. I can buy a house for what they want for a new vehicle. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78114564 United States 11/29/2019 06:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the young guys will still buy those trucks, no matter how much it costs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56735503 The buyers buy the loan, not the vehicle. Financing is what has allowed the prices to continue their march to infinity. Think about it like this: Most folks would buy a $1,000,000 car as long as they can afford the payment. The ramifications of this, long term, are obviously going to be disastrous. |

I got a RAM one ton crew cab long bed with no frills for $39K four years ago. I got a Jeep Compass for $16K a year ago. Same method. I made the offer by email and they accepted without arguing. They gotta move the vehicles. Wait until the sales numbers drop for a better deal. |

Both have $60K trucks. Young and dumb, hopefully they figure it out. |
Minute Rice User ID: 78211564 11/29/2019 06:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It rediculous. 80k for a new Chevrolet pickup. 190k for a New Rangerover? Quoting: Gringo-Crackerº Even a used Hyundai Sante Fe is 23k. Toyota Tundra- fuggetaboutit.. Just a couple of examples, I'm not buying a new car again. I have a Grand Cherokee 2014 ( last model before Fiat takeover) that I found with 45k for 23,000. Got it down to 22,000. I'd say I did ok. |

Yeah, I do my own repairs, I have a couple good mechanics and body and paint guys for stuff that is too time consuming or complicated for me. I have practically every tool I need, and I borrow what I don't from the autoparts store. It's like the ol' Prius craze of a few years ago. I see them piled up in peoples' yards not running. Why? Well turns out that after a few years the lithium batteries won't hold a charge just like your small batteries for lawn equipment get to where they don't hold the charge and you have to replace them. Fifty dollars for them. But, to replace the lithium batteries for a Prius can cost $7,000 or more! So when you buy a used electric car they probably are selling it because the batteries are going bad and you are going to pay for the used car then replace the batteries right off the bat and zing! It might just be a really big expensive lawn gnome. |

Am I getting this right ? Don’t come crying at us when your shit starts not working right or the tranny starts to go. Who would by a dodge , no car company in history has ever produced so many lemons as dodge . Father in-law bought a dodge in 95 it did not even make it 35,000 miles before the trans went out got it fixed then head gasket blew before 40,000. Never buy a dodge , u want American get a ford at least , but Toyota trucks or the Nissan is the way to go. |

No need to replace the whole battery if just a few packs are bad. |
