They are Belt driven... Quoting: DuckNCover I wouldn't buy a new car today. Most cars lose a quarter of their value when you drive them off the dealer lot... I have a 1997 Nissan Pickup, manual transmission, with 260,000. Just completed a full timing job and head gasket repair. Had a machine shop level off the Engine Head. She runs like a top and could put another 150K miles on her... Got the vehicle 3 years ago for $1200... I have a 2011 Nissan titan 4x4 I got a real good deal on used 3 years back because it was scratched up . it had 101,000 on the odometer and I've driven it another 60g without so much as a taillight burning out.the other dya when i ws getting ti inspected another man with a 06 titan was getting his inspected nd it hd 380g on the odometer and purred like a kitten. He said he's hd to replace the exhaust and the alternator and had no major problems , brakes tires, batteries, the usual Nissans are under rated and though not as stylish as toyotas, just as solid mechanically. down here in Texas you see Nissan hardbody 4cylinders from the 80's all over the place and you can only guess how many miles are on them because they have the old style odometers. NEVER buy a new car, it depreciates the instant you drive it off the lot, you're paying for the new car smell. it might break down five miles later, being new is no guarantee it is mechanically sound |

I like it but there is some things I don't like about it. The stock shocks are complete garbage. The 8 speed bruce jenner is kinda wonky, and it seems to puff out excessive white smoke on a warm summer day (which they told me is "normal" lol). The interior is decent. Its 100% getting traded in at 3 years.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76195662 Yup. IMO...the only thing new that continues to be fun is a Jeep wrangler. Don9;t care if it's a CJ, TJ, JK, JL or JT.....it got a shitload of fun packed all up inside it. You just have to release it. :gnomesayin: Its funny you mentioned that because I almost had my wife convinced to get one.. I mean, I was working on her for fucking 7 months building up the jeeps as godly vehicles.. Then one day she goes for lunch with her co-worker and they were walking up to her vehicle and my wife says, oh my husband has a hardon for these jeeps... Then the co-worker fucked it all up from there on out. Tells my wife it was her childhood dream vehicle etc but she regrets buying it.. then they get going down the road and you have to understand the street roads up here are like fucked up beyond anything you can imagine.. I am talking downtown Baghdad after shock and awe fucked.. So the jeeps bouncing all over the god damn road and my wife hated the ride lol.. She didn't like the interior etc.. She didn't realize I wanted the damn thing because of the beefy suspension for these awful street roads that are akin to offroading.. Anyways, she found that used colorado truck and it was like 10k cheaper than the brand new ones cause it was slightly used up to 20k km's.. Then just recently her other co-worker purchased one of those new jeep wrangler trucks.. Dukes of hazzard orange lol.. It looked decent but I was more impressed with how well built the under carriage and suspension was.. Dude paid something like 90k CDN.. unreal.. |

It must be hit or miss cause my buddy has one and it doesn't seem to do it. His was 2016 model. as i understand it there are two different gaskets , the newer ones used a different gasket because the old ones were blowing due to thermal expansion differential issues where the heads get hotter than the block due to a restricted coolant flow. The newer ones were even worst for some reason, and replacement will run you close to 2700. The solution is to remove the radiator cap and drive a different brand truck underneath it |
