Was just watching a "WWII in Color" episode last night about the end of the war and what they found at Auschwitz and other concentration camps. Auschwitz is still there and can be toured. [ link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] I'm old enough to have met and know survivors who had the tattoos on their arms. When I was a teenager, my parents had Corrie ten Boom over for dinner. She is the author of the "The Hiding Place" a best seller which later became a movie. [ link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] I have zero doubt the holocaust was real. None of this proves the holocaust. The photographs/movies of the awful conditions in the camps at the end of the war were due to allied bombing of the infrastructure that brought the supplies to the camps. No food... no medicine... no water = mass starvation and/or deaths due to disease. And neither the tattoos; nor the piles of shoes; nor the hair; nor the striped clothing prove the holocaust either. They are simply tattoos, shoes, hair, and prisoner's uniforms.  it's been explained to my satisfaction logically Tattoos were used to identify prisoners who were likely to try to conceal their identities in the work camps, no person slated for extermination would be tattooed...why bother? Hair was cut short upon arrival at he camps to remove and prevent lice just as it is in our own military the "gassings" were delousing procedures that saved millions of lives, some j ws complained of being gassed repeatedly s you know..the shoes were taken because they were used to smuggle , the Germans issued them shoes.
