It’s likely Tesla will redo this test if it hasn’t already. After the original test went viral, a VP at Ford suggested Musk send Ford a Cybertruck so the company behind the F-150 can produce a better comparison. Ford quickly released a statement saying the comment was tongue-in-cheek and Ford has nothing to prove. However, Musk had already responded, telling the Ford VP to “bring it on”, later noting that Tesla would conduct another test “next week.”

It looks great on video to connect two trucks and have a pull-off but it produces little real-world conclusions. A better test would involve weighted trailers and conclusions based off range, handling and capacity — you know, things that matter to truck buyers.

Tesla is pure Bull$hit. In 1986 Honda had an electric CRX on the cover of one of the US car magazines and it was at the dragstrip doing such a large burnout that the car could barely be seen through the smoke from the tires. That was with 1980's lead acid batteries.

What exactly did Elon invent again? He took off the shelf Chinese Lithium batteries and hooked them up to an off the shelf electric motor. Retards are blinded by the propaganda. Next Elon would like to sell you a chip for your brain.

I'm not even a "truck guy", but that test was obviously bullshit. Lets see the Tesla "truck" pick up a trailer with a boat on it, then drive a couple hours up hills and whatnot, put the boat in the water, then recover it and drive back.

car manufacturers alway have picked & chose which attributes to claim superiority on -

more trunk space than - -
better mileage than - -
more legroom than -

musk did same - picked something that his truck is better at & went with it

it will continue to be done over & over by many

As a daily Tesla driver I can tell you modern electric cars are genuinely a better driving experience. Wife drives a leaf and wouldn’t dare trade it for a gas car. A bit of simple math with current energy costs. If my Tesla is driven for 200k miles the gas savings pays for the vehicle 100%. This is compared to the WRX sti I traded for it. Honestly so much more fun to drive than the Subaru which is quite impressive.
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. -Albert Einstein

F-150s are basically small SUVs. What about an F-350?
