I watched only part, but I think that they have to keep going, as - even though $10k/mo (has a "wow" factor), it's not all that much, as we're told this is for BOTH, working f/t. Therefore, it's more like $5k/mo/person. Second, this number is only their REVENUE. I'm assuming their expenses will knock off at least $1k/person/mo...perhaps more.

So, all-in-all, they're grossing, pre-tax maybe $4k/person/mo.

Still...this is nice; hopefully they can really (scale) this (revenue) w/o (cost increases going w/it): then they could really be rocking.

I would imagine most of the sales are cash at a local farmers market. The Government will come and shut them down for not paying taxes or - if they do sell to restaurants (I didn't watch the video) - they will need to be inspected by the government and probably fined for some minor code violation.

People are more interested in what they eat and looks like there's demand for little plants.
I just searched what's a microgreen, interesting info on Wiki, accordimg to USDA study microgreens are healthy, contain 5 times more nutrients than fully grown plant.

there are specialised labour/time saving tools for it and the harvesting ia basically automated with him just sliding trays through a mechanised cutter/bin filler

I don't doubt what you're saying...but (here) the into-person said that they both are working 40hrs, which doesn't surprise me.

There's probably a lot to it; finding markets; choosing the right plants, to say nothing of studying the plants and how they grow, etc, etc.

If you put the extra money earned on your house mortgage you could pay off early then semi retire in ten to fifteen years keeping just the micro green business only and quitting their other jobs. Nice!

I tried growing pea micro greens a few months ago but could not eat them, I tried all stages of new growth and had a hard time stomaching them and they did not cook up well either. How are you supposed to eat them? Mine were not that tender, a little woody at all stages.

Cannabis is legal in Canada. Depending on the province, they could probably grow at most 4 plants but still, no one is really going to start a microgreen empire to hide legal plants.

There's a company that grows lettuce in trucks and delivers live plants to grocer's shelves. The trucks are rigged with water systems. SO COOL.

Then after I use the lettuce I pop the little plant in my hydroponics machine in my kitchen and it keeps growing.
