Overall, what helps to heat up?

Easy to guess: chili, garlic, ginger, and so forth.

Peppermint oil is great, it warms when you're cold, and chills when you're overheated.

A shot of whiskey (non-maize)? Cognac? Peppermint liquor? What you like. For medicine only!
Gin is good help (b/c of juniper), as are nordic Aquavits, because they have herbs infused.

Cilandro (all fresh herbs) is a good detox for bioaccumulated additives and metals in food.
