Both these statements are correct. Canada didn't get to where it's at simply by asking nicely. We do our part, and would appreciate a little bit of respect lol. But then again, we don't care nor do we need it.

What we do as a nation is what's required of us to help maintain order and peace across the land/world, and no, you can't achieve that without a powerful army or the ability to pull the trigger and splatter the bad guy's brains.

Canada has a rich history, especially militaristically, and we need America just as much as America needs us. That's why we don't take our politics/politicians seriously. It's all just a show, and when push comes to shove? We're ALWAYS there to push back alongside our allies.

Asking us to contribute more to NATO is a big fuckkk you. We do a lot, and we don't even talk about it. All those wars and battles out there? We're involved. We provide A LOT of training and logistics.
