There might be something to reaching a certain age and (once having children) being alone that is inspiring. You become comfortable with simply being single. The children are grown, raised correctly, and you no longer require another in your life. You no longer 'burn with desire' for another but develop a wry grin and feel for all. Even have crushes. But the love you feel for those crushes just sort of melts into an Agape. Something to ponder anyhow. I'm striving for it.
