The truth about kratom - a must read. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78219562 Australia 12/05/2019 12:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT Quoting: SoberLife Note: I am not against kratom in any way. I use it daily and love the benefits it provides me. This post is for educational purposes, so we, the consumers, can make the best purchasing decisions and protect our health as much as possible. Let's get to it... Vein color has absolutely nothing to do with the effects of your kratom. All the colors referenced in strains is typically nothing but a marketing gimmick. At most processing plants, all leaved are mixed together and they are not separated by vein colors. The color of the powder and the noticible difference of effects has everything to do with the drying process. The method of drying will determine the color of the powder and effects difference in the end product. Read this article if you want the best possible education in kratom. I have found nobody more honest and knowledgeable than the guy that wrote this extensive article. There's photos of kratom progressing that will shock you. Extremely unsanitary conditions with no effort to prevent contamination / mold. He breaks down common deceptions we face when making purchases. Reading this article COMPLETELY changed the way I view this industry. Before reading, I considered myself very knowledgeable based on articles I've read online - when actually, I only believed the common deceptions. [link to www.doublemherbals.com (secure)] This is the type of information all kratom users should know so they can make responsible purchasing decisions and protect their health. The more that the public knows, the better. We can vote with our money and make sure the future of kratom is based on sanitary and responsible practices. Our Nanny country here doesn't even allow us to legally buy it...pfft. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78126775 The alcohol used in the distillation process kills bacteria, mold and fungi. no toss and choke ... just pure herbal meds. problem solved. You obviously didn't read the article, not even a single word of it. Know where your kratom comes from? Did your kratom supplier use sanitary methods when processing the leaf? Did they hang the plant matter to prevent contamination from mold or other foreign particles? Let's have a reality check. This village is drying kratom leaves in the middle of the main road. People are walking through it barefoot. If you look closely you can spot chickens and dogs in the video. Think they trained the animals not to shit in your kratom leaves? Kratom is an opportunity for poor 3rd world citizens to make a few dollars. These people are not educated or care about how clean the product is. They get paid by the kilo whether it's dirty or clean. Most of these people naturally have kratom trees in their communities. Imagine if someone told you that you could rake your yard and sell the dead leaves by the pound! That is exactly what's happening here! Here's another video of barefoot people raking kratom they're drying IN THE DIRT. Making sure your kratom is saturated in dirt is a for sure method of maximizing profits! There are large collection points that purchase from the public. They accept dried leaf from anyone that shows up. No proof of sanitation or responsible practices required. They then take all these leaves they purchased from hundreds of people and run them through a grinder. This ensures a consistent potency quality control method. After its all proceeded, it's sold to hustler for a few dollars a kilo...and they come online, make website, and network through various services with the intent to sell their product to Americans! Don't worry though, they'll tell you the kratom was farm raised on their own farms, hand washed, string died, and tested in a lab for purity and for contaminants. They'll all show you the same lab reports and photos of their operation for proof! SO... I'll ask again. Do you know where your kratom comes from? |

A dose of reality. Also, I never said anyone died. But I am concerned about health implications due to the UNREGULATED status of this product. Unregulated is the key word. No official government regulations or testing. Ever wonder why all kratom products say "not for human consumption"? Because if they were for human consumption, the whole game would change. That means they would have to prove the ground up leaves weren't contaminated. It's obvious with a little COMMON SENSE. |

I also boil water and pour it on my dose and let it sit until cooled. Not sure what the motivation is for this bullshit--why not post a video of how vegetables are grown for the US market in Mexico and other 3rd world countries? Most fruit comes from trees where birds and insects shit on it...I've been using Kratom for intractable pain for 9 years. Same dose 3x a day has given me my life back. This sounds like yet another attempt to scare people into not using it and pushing for it to be illegal. Nice try Gotlieb. The Kratom market helps poor people make a living. Thanks for trying to fuck that up. |

But DO be really careful with kratom sources A lot of them are downright scary. Some are a little sketchy and a very few are legit. Do your research, talk to people. Took me a couple of years to truly find a brand I have yet to have a major issue with. Red and green to me seem to be taste issues more than anything Mind you I also have yet to read the article but I surely will. "I'm not a scientologist but"... How are most herbal supplements grown overseas? DO you think US government can dash over to Indonesia and regulate their growing? What about the tea plantations? Fuck off. "we need regulation" "I'm concerned"... So, Gotliebite, How is that synthetic lab Kratom coming along? You can't make money unless you "regulate" the tree leaf out of existence and make it prescription only making sure everyone gets a cut of my pain--right? See doc every 3 months to get prescription-big pharma gets their cut--and people like Gotliebe (thank you president Trump for firing that corrupt son of a bitch) can't get a return on their investment because as long as the natural tree leaf is available people are going to use that. NOW comes along a horror video OMERG someone can die (typical leftard bullshit...why the fuck they always used the "people are dying" and "someone could die"? You don't fucking pass the sniff test. Anonymous Coward User ID: 77396198 United States 12/07/2019 12:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I love Kratom. I get super high on it. But, that thread is very detailed and has a ton of good real behind the scenes information. You have to be aware and buy from vendors that test the product. Some vendors like Quantum Kratom run the kratom through a sterilization process with heat and other methods. There are people who don't know how to control their intake and wind up taking large amounts of kratom every day. Don't be one of those people. Keep your dose steady and take tolerance breaks. You can also use certain supplements to effectively limit tolerance development, like Agmatine. There is a ton of propaganda out there just like the guy noted in his thread, people will poo poo you for buying kratom from the local store and constantly insist you must buy in bulk online. Cuz they are shilling for either themselves or their friends. Yea you can save money buying in bulk online, but then you have to deal with the mystery issues like that guy described. There is a documentary out there called A Leaf Of Faith that might be of interest as well. |
