So it's really a case of neglect on the mother's part... Not sure if she is on drugs or not... it doesn't say but I think it's more a case of neglect... I'm sure it would say in the article if there were drugs involved but IDK... I can 100% guarantee either drugs or alcohol were involved. AK has a massive addiction problem and it's worst in the villages. The woman is native. I'd estimate 80% of natives in AK do not work and just live off various entitlement programs. |

Even Fairbanks is not for the faint hearted, though it used to be a cool place before the globalists started moving third worlders there. I suspect that family is native, whenever something like this happens, the police always want to make an arrest. Sometimes it's better to let the family/community handle their own issues, especially in the native areas. Peepaws |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 33533627 United States 12/08/2019 03:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Impossible. That’s too cold to survive more than 30 seconds, let alone practically naked as the article says. It’s hard to get an 18mo old to cooperate. Must have taken even longer than it would an adult. must have been crying the whole time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76004857 Too cold to survive more than 30 seconds? I assume you have never lived in a place with cold winters? Wow. Tard. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 33533627 United States 12/08/2019 03:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Still, a five year old girl on the loose like that with an 18 mths old during a blackout... Quoting: ~Blue Spirit~ Must have been terrified... That is one remarkable 5 yr old to even be able to find the neighbors house! Wow! Hope she didn't get frostbite. I know... the article does state they both suffered injuries but they are otherwise ok and safe now... Not much the article does say, in description to how/why but maybe they are investigating further? IDK... What do you think of the blackout? I don't know if the article means their own home power cut or their area blackout... Something really strange about this whole story... You seem nice, so I'll be polite. Rural villages in Alaska which are not connected to the road system, such as the one in the article, are not connected to the normal grid at all. They have large diesel generators which produce power for the village buildings. These systems are not as reliable as normal grid electricity, hence there are frequent, but usually brief, outages. There is nothing fishy or unusual about the story except for the druggie mother who left her babies alone. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20525770 United States 12/08/2019 03:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Girl, 5, carries toddler half a mile in -35C with no shoes on after Alaska blackout Quoting: ~Blue Spirit~ The 5 year old and 18 month year old arrived at a neighbours home suffering from injuries relating to the cold weather. Alone and frightened by an electricity blackout, a shoeless five-year-old child carried her younger sibling half a mile to a neighbour's house in -35C (-31F). Alaska state troopers were called after welfare concerns were raised for the two children in Venetie, a village in the northwestern American state. The five-year-old and 18-month-old arrived at the neighbour's home suffering from injuries relating to the cold weather. They had been dressed only in socks and light clothing. More in the link provided >>> ..... Source: [link to news.sky.com (secure)] Anyone reading, DO NOT have kids unless you are ready for your whole life and emotions to change. You will never be alone again. You will always be busy and stressed. Please, Don’t do it . Unless you want to be a real involved mother. It’s wonderful, but not at all easy Agreed as a father I love my kids to death, but I have to admit that it is hard to be a parent. Many people can't do it because they are selfish and end up raising shitty kids. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 33533627 United States 12/08/2019 04:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As for the article/story being fake, well, there are at least 3 other sources I have seen this same story in... Quoting: ~Blue Spirit~ Sky news doesn't usually sell out fake storylines... I'm not sure on the other 3 I've seen up to now... IDK... I just think something is very strange about this whole story in itself... it doesn't all add up... It's completely true. Ignore all the tards saying your eyeballs will freeze shut at -31F and other such nonsense. That's silly bs. Yes, you can get frostbite super easy at those temps, but you could walk a half mile with minimal clothing and you're not gonna die. Although, I'm sure those kids have some serious frostbite. |
