I'm a woman and I think women misunderstand the nature of locker room talk (which women shouldn't even be privy too and we were protected from this in the past). Just as we women talk in certain ways among ourselves that is unique to being women, men do the same thing among themselves. I think the nature of men is a combination of having to be competitive with other men, which IS the biological nature of men, so they try to top each other with their exploits, some of which are sexual. Another aspect is that being a man involves developing more confidence than women need. It's hard to explain. Women never have to prove anything as women, we just are. We're receptive, men insert themselves into us and they have to be physically prepared to do that. We CAN just lay there. I think men have to talk themselves up to develop confidence to approach women and to have sex, etc. It seems vulgar and demeaning to us when we hear it, but it's not about US....it's about what they do to build themselves up.

Anyway, I think women really misinterpret this aspect of men and we should not pay attention to it. We should pay attention to their ACTIONS.
