Do you think life is worth living?

I've had a hard life. Parents were drug dealers, I was raped when I was 9, got hooked on dope in my late teens - early 20's. Been clean over 15 years now. My wife was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer a week after our first anniversary, we got her thru chemo and radiation only for her to suffer from permanent heart problems due to the treatments. Shes on heart meds now. Thru her treatments we almost went broke and lost out home were it not for charity. I had to pay back taxes for years.

Everytime I get ahead financially it's like clockwork that something else happens that costs me over a thousand bucks. I basically have no retirement savings and I work my ass off to make as much as I can. I look at all my friends facebook pages and watch their kids grow up while wishing my wife and I could of had our own. (Cant afford to adopt, but we do rescue cats amd dogs if we can) Many mornings when I would wake up from another restless night of cold sweats, I'd put my gun in my hand, look at it, and agree not to kill myself for another 24 hours. A lot of that stopped when I had a minor stroke 3 months ago.

Yeah, this life has not been easy at all and I will be grateful on the day that I die that it will be over....but I wont give it up. Not after all this shit I've lived thru.

My life is a service-to-others life. I work between the spirit world and physical world to help others and that paints a target on my back for dark forces. I dont care for churches and organized religious, but I live by Matthew 10:8: Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

I'll be 40 next year. Col. Sanders didnt get anyone to buy his fried chicken receipe until he was in his 70's I think. I'm continuing to hope things will get better in my 40's - 60's if I make it that long. I won't kill myself though. I'll keep going until i am smothered and killed by this God-forsaken place because I am not a Butt-fucking quitter.

Its the little things. Sure, its all pointless, and without meaning. Not to say we can't learn from our environment, the do's and do not's. That's all life is really, people teaching people, and people learning from people, the positives and negatives that balance themselves out. You could be on your way to your departing destination, and you may find something crossing your path that takes the attention away from your own struggle, and maybe you have something to alleviate someone else's struggle, if only for a moment. That is what makes life worth living. And just because a circumstance is stagnant for a time, doesn't mean it will remain that way forever. Sometimes it is best to put yourself on standby until the time of reckoning.

I would bet that everyone saying life is worth living are doing fine financially in their lives. We live in a world where poverty directly correlates to unhappiness.

A person CANNOT be happy when constantly faced with financial issues.

Not true, there is people that live in the wilderness, and enjoy life without any money. It all just depends if you got lucky with your personality and set of skills. But overall, life is meaningless because all of this isn’t real. Thus, it is not worth living nor fighting for. So OP, you can do whatever the hell you want since everything is fake

Not really no, but I have an obligation to do something to make it better before I go so I will, never leave something dirtier than you found it.

There are 2 kinds of people; there are those that make problems and there are those that solve problems. Those that solve problems often have a better outlook and those that cause problems often cannot live without a problem solver in their lives.

The only reason i keep going is I have a daughter to take care of.

If it weren't for that I would have walked off a bridge years ago.

Life is a gift and if you have a problem with it you fight to make it better or you fight to change what’s wrong. The one thing you never do is throw it away or question its worth. Do something about it and make it worthwhile.
