Which book or movie has the best mind bending ending you've seen? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76348295 Indonesia 12/09/2019 09:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He plays him self, going back home to Belgium, the French speaking part, lots of poverty, closed mines etc., he goes into a bank, when he's in there the bank gets robbed, everything goes wrong, hostage situation and before you know it it's on CNN etc. "Van Damme takes hostages at bank heist", it's hilarious.... The movie end with him, just him, looking into the camera talking about his career, getting cleaned out by divorce, cocaine addiction, it's pretty amazing really.... |

Memento is excellent. The whole movie is mind bending, told from the point of view of a guy with anterograde amnesia (incapable of forming short-term memories), so he can't remember what he did a few minutes ago. Meanwhile, this guy is looking to avenge the death of his wife, setting up systems to remember the clues he found before forgetting them, and finding himself in dangerous situations without remembering why. Since we're seeing everything from his point of view, what happened a few minutes ago is a mystery for the audience too, until the big reveal at the end. So we get treated to cool scenes like this: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74484144 United States 12/09/2019 01:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mother! It had that one long scene toward the end that was just total madness. I was in awe. I know critics didn't like the movie and Jennifer Lawrence had a burnout because of how badly it was received but I enjoyed it very much. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78236146 Da For a Netflix watch it was riveting When mother closes the door to the shipping container...damn son |

Sorry I can't remember the title. Quoting: Bodhi Sita That movie still freaks me out - with the impossible mind bending ending. If you can get the title out of him, be warned - you cannot unsee it. Thread: Best Sci-Fi Movies Now - Obscure Welcome - Time Travel, Alternate Timelines, Etc Didn't see his post there. I looked it up though... Predestination. It will fuck with your head for a long time. |

I liked it, but I remember it being a bit lacking in the overall entertainment department. Another movie that I liked better about time travel of sorts is Time Lapse. It is a better movie fit for most people out looking for an interesting and enjoyable film that is also thought provoking. |

First movie that comes to mind is The Usual Suspects. Watching "Verbal"Kint (Kevin Spacey) morphing into Keyser Soze as he strolls away from the police station remains one of my favorite movie endings to date. Say what you will about Kevin Spacey there's no denying that the man is a brilliant actor. As for books, it's been WAY too long since I actually read an entire book. Not sure why, in my youth I was a voracious reader. Now, if it weren't for road signs and menus I probably wouldn't read five words a day. ChayOphan |
