I don't think the dems want this going to trial in the senate. ( hell 90% of the republicans too for that matter).

I doubt that it will go to trial even if he is impeached.

The Senate will likely say the impeachment is invalid because it doesn't meet the criteria for impeachment or the Senate will move a motion to dismiss the matter before it begins.

Some realize that every single seat in the H of R is up for grabs in 2020.

If the impeachment vote is successful, it will be overturned by the Supreme Court and all who voted for it will be made fools and idiots.

Preferably they are given a fair trial before being hung by the neck until dead as traitors to our Republic.

It's not really a trial. The Senate will probably make a vote to dismiss it. Or they simply will not vote to remove the President.

Not accurate. Bill Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998. He finished serving his 2nd term on January 20, 2001. Since he was impeached during his second term he was not up for reelection.
