Re: Domain Takeover at Gunpoint Gets Influencer 14 Years in Jail
As previously mentioned, Adams' scheme fell through completely, with him and his cousin both being sentenced to federal prison, the former influencer getting 14 years while his cousin got 20 years for the armed home invasion.

"Adams must also serve a three-year term of supervised release after the prison term. There is no parole in the federal system," the DoJ adds.

Currently, Adams is being held in the United States Marshal’s custody and he waits to be transported to federal prison.

Re: Domain Takeover at Gunpoint Gets Influencer 14 Years in Jail
A guy with 1 million followers gets another guy to register his domain name, & that guy steals it or holds it hostage. This happens all the time sadly.

The sensible thing to do would've been to rebrand himself & get his followers to move to a different site. Instead he hires a fellow to run a home invasion, pistol whip & shoot the domain snatcher. Even if he lost most of his following, that's how business works. People screw you - you cut your losses & run, try to recover as much as you can. Now he's just lost 14 years of his life & everything he built up.

Idiot!

It would have been a lot easier if he had just registered it himself.
