I'll do you one better. Asians have the lowest RH Neg blood types per capita out of all others. Berbers (Barbarians) and Basques have the highest per capita of RH Neg blood types.

In the Philippines, less than 1% have RH neg blood types. My son and myself have A Neg (including myself CMV neg). This puts us as a high risk should either of us require a blood transfusion. I know I would be able to give my son a direct blood transfusion if needed. If it's me, I'm SOL.

Living in the icy winters rewards those who plan ahead and selected for those who possessed delayed gratification. Also, Viking/Northern European diet was based on herring and salmon - high in protein, omega-3s and other nutrients good for brain health (Just like japan and other coastal societies have high IQ). Much of Sub-Sarahan landlocked countries had very poor/imbalanced diets, based on foraging and scavenging - not optimal for brain development.

I have always thought that would be the case. It could just be my personal bias though, because I have almost double your average Neanderthal DNA.

It's called natural selection/adaption. African people don't need a high IQ to survive in their habitat, so when they reproduce, the individuals with slightly higher intelligence don't have a real advantage compared to the others - thus intelligence isn't dominant in their populations. They do however need to run fast and be fit, which is why those traits have been passed on successfully.

If you look at the IQ-bell curve of Africans, there's still a percentage of individuals with a higher IQ (100+), they're just not prevalent.

I don't think this has that much to do with the Neanderthal admixture. Despite existing for hundred thousands of years, the Neanderthals didn't build any civilizations or large monuments that we know of, so they probably weren't more intelligent than we are. They were probably smarter than Africans though, as they needed to survive in tundra-like climate, enduring long periods of freezing temperatures and darkness.

Most of the countries along the west coast of Africa have average IQs among the worlds lowest. Anthropologists say that is where man first learned to eat seafood. It seems like that would make them among the smartest. Instead, the average IQ in these countries makes you wonder if everyone there sits on the porch drooling all day.

Human brains likely developed by human beings being forced to use them to survive and thrive in different and challenging environments.

They apparently had far better eyesight, combined with a larger visual cortex, and a larger and much better developed center for spatial and visual orientation than the modern humans they interbred with.

But their tools mostly stayed the same over eons of time, so they are thought to be somewhat lacking in raw creative spark.

But their 3d-spatial orientation skills were superior, and when you combine that with the better creativity of modern humans, you end up with an ability to visualize complex mechanical concepts. Or technology if you will.
