Need Help with Amazon problem--PLEASE HELP

I would really really appreciate any ideas for getting the review to move down so that other reviews show up first.

I hate it that it give away important plot details.
Please help if you know anything at all.

I feel like the review needs a spoiler alert.
Amazon just won't do anything.
They say it is all based on algorithms--but there has to be a way to get the worst reveiw out of the number one position.

make a copyright claim on it.

Now, why in the world would you give me a one-star? I am only asking for help with information. This information could be valuable to others also who have a problem with the system and don't know who to contact or how to get help.

Can you give me a little more information about that? Do you mean to go to Amazon and make a claim?

I just want that review to move down. It really bothers me that it gives away too much information and I cannot get a response from Amazon. They just send their auto-generated replies.
In the meantime, anyone who goes in to read about the book gets a retelling of the story that is too much and incorrect.

yes just say it violates copyright laws. it dont have to be true just make the claim. Then its up to them whether they take it down or face a lawsuit. they usually dont even review the commment they just take it down.

Have your buddies post more recent reviews to bump it down.

OP, go into the Help section under 'Feedback Manager.' You will see a link for 'Request removal of a feedback.' If that doesn't resolve the problem, you can also click on the 'Need more help?' link that takes you to a contact form. There, you can either chat with a customer service rep, or you can leave a number where they will call you back.

Maybe un-list the item and re-list it?

Why not leave a comment after the review and explain you're the author and that the review is erroneous for these reasons etc.

Or do as another suggested, pull the listing and then relist it?

There have been all kinds of reviews put on there since that time. That is why if frustrates me. It won't move down. I just sits on top!

Maybe ask your friends to click the "report review" option.

The best thing to do is to write a reply asking the poster to add *** SPOILER ALERT *** at the top of their review.

Trying to get the review to be moved down is the wrong solution. You're asking for manual intervention into an automatic process.

Go to the source of the problem - the reviewer. Just nicely thank them for their review and ask for them to edit it to include the fact that it contains spoilers. Because surely they don't want to ruin the story for others.

The other thing you can try is asking people you know to upvote other reviews with 4 or 5 stars so they can get a higher ranking than the undesirable review. (Ask them to click the "Helpful" button.)
