Anonymous Coward User ID: 78363501 United States 03/01/2021 05:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm 56 and have worked since I was 14. Lost my 6-figure job two years ago and no one will hire me. I guess I'm too old. I'm now working as a baker making $16/hr and part time retail to try to keep my head above water. I work with several black women and they are all doing the same thing. In spite of working full time, they get housing benefits, EBT, insurance. My one friend has 6 kids and gets $1000 for housing and another $850 in EBT. They run to the ER for runny noses whenever they feel like it. WTF was I thinking working two jobs to raise MY five kids?? She's talking about her trip to Puerto Rico she's taking next month. Her BF (who lives with her and is father of one of the keeds) just surprised her with tickets to Hawaii for the month after that. She related that her cousin is taking her twins to Hawaii in June (she's their godmother). She gets $250 weaves, $80 eyelash extensions, acrylics whenever she wants. No worries about rent, no worries about food, no worries about anything. I remember times where I was literally counting the hot dogs and boxes of mac/cheese to plan out every dinner until payday and scrambling if there wasn't enough to get the kids fed. I remember how tired I was so often, so much work and worry. But...I thought of the day when I would be able to sit back...those wonderful kids (and they ARE great adults now) out in the world, living good, decent lives and me, collecting my SS $$ and just sitting around and doing what I wanted. I know now that's never going to happen. We have been motherfucked. We will never see a dime of that SS $$ because the reset will wipe it all out. They will wipe out entitlements, private land ownership...everything. We will all get UBI. IF we take our shots, allow our kids to transition to the opposite sex at the age of 5, etc., etc., etc. See how equal and fair that is? I have to hand it to the ghetto queens. They played the system inside and out and have lived large as a result. I can't fault them for taking everything they could and enjoying their lives to the fullest. Those of us who did the "right" thing and lived responsibly while this was all going on are the stupid ones. And when the reset happens, the compliant middle class will realize a massive reduction in quality of life. The welfare queens will go on and barely notice a difference. I'm sure the UBI will be tagged via # of kids, etc. I won't even get UBI, because I will not comply with the rules they will require us to follow. So what do we do now? How do we retire? You KNOW they are going to swipe the 401K $$ too, right? |
