If you feel that you live in a world of abundance - then certain strategies pay off and vice versa for a world of competition for resources.

Thus the very rich obviously, and those who have never had to struggle but also the very poor or stupid - who know they have no chance competing in the market place but can look to big Gov and Welfare as an endless provider. Or say those ensconced in sinecure positions in Federal gov, Academia.
