I only get out of the house once a month now. This time at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, when speaking to those I did, I said "Have a Merry Christmas!"

You know what they said?

They smiled big, genuinely, and replied back, "Thank you! Merry Christmas to you, too!"

I was surprised. A little. Imagine that. Me being "surprised" now when people respond in kind to being told, "Merry Christmas"?

And what does that say about the world today?

You ever take the time to properly greet someone before you start your business. Even if they are just ringing up your food.

Just stop and say hi. How are you? And watch and wait for their response.

Most will be happy you at least acted like you cared how they were doing.

Others are simply too far gone and cannot hold a basic pre scripted conversations.
