Liberal Californians are some of the dumbest and digbatiest people you ever see. A lot of people feel the same way. That is the belly of liberal beast.
I've been to LA and San Fran years ago and was happy to be able to leave. Those liberal types in Cali are the worst (except DC) for ignoring the obvious.

Walking from bar to restaurant in the rain (rain is another thing that freaks them out) looking for a place to eat. Finally called an Uber to take us to the next town over, where at the Chart House business was booming.
Power did go back on within the hour. They lost all that business-they didn't care. Complacent. An ounce of imagination and ingenuity would have worked with the situation (only one place did that) but they are absolutely devoid of thinking outside the box. Valentine's Day.
The non natives were speechless as to how they function on a daily basis.
