Re: For the First Time since the French Revolution, no Christmas midnight Mass at Notre Dame in Paris
While the fact bears noting that Notre Dame did not falter in holding Christmas services through 2 world wars, and centuries of time..

I take exception to the word "accidental" in describing the Notre Dame fire this year.

there is zero proof of that.

from the article:

[link to www.hotsr.com (secure)]

"This is the first time since the French Revolution that there will be no midnight Mass (at Notre Dame)," cathedral rector Patrick Chauvet told The Associated Press.

There was even a Christmas service amid the carnage of World War I, Chauvet noted, "because the canons were there and the canons had to celebrate somewhere," referring to the cathedral's clergy. During World War II, when Paris was under Nazi occupation, "there was no problem." He said that to his knowledge, it was only closed for Christmas in the period after 1789, when the anti-Catholic French revolutionaries turned the monument into "a temple of reason."
 Quoting: beeches

Heart breaking.
Zero per cent chance it was an accidental fire.

I saw a report on this on the NHK Japanese website.

It is so strange how no French media are talking about this.

Verboten!

If Michelle Obama ever runs for President, as many speculate, this picture of her on the Seine needs to be run constantly. Whatever one speculates, that is NOT a normal reaction to such a catastrophe. It probably looks very much like Nero looked while watching Rome burn.

People need to look a this and think of a couple of things:

1. If you were on the Seine River and you saw Notre Dame BURNING DOWN would you be drinking a glass of WINE? I'd be crying and screaming and jumping up and down or whatever! Wine would be the last thing on my mind.

2. Look at that necklace. I know it says "Becoming" because I know about her book. BUT if you didn't know that....doesn't it look like it says BURNING?

I agree, it is reminiscent of the Bush classroom stuff. At least he seemed befuddled as well at the time but it's obvious from Obama's face that she is SAVORING THIS MOMENT. The normal reaction to seeing such a great monument burning down would be shock, horror, surprise, upset, tears, anger - some normal emotion. We can see from the wine glass that she is looking directly at the church/fire and just calmly sips her glass of wine. That is NOT a normal reaction. And I wonder if she DID wear that necklace because from a distance it could look like "burning".

To me, it's so obvious that she KNEW this was going to happen and planned to be there. I can't explain her reaction any other way. It's highly abnormal.

I guess we should be grateful it was Notre Dame and not the White House. I'm sure she would have brought marshmallows to that one.

I wonder if Valerie Jarrett (who is STILL living with them in DC) also lives with them in the new $12 millions Martha's Vineyard house. Such bizarre people - I do hope they are eventually exposed. Probably not in our lifetimes though.

The French with SOULS should gather outside the Notre Dame anyways and pray to the Lord - have a people's mass.

Can they gather religiously at night without being attacked (by whomever) is the question.

I think that's a great idea. I guess they're all RC there so they could have a mass, but ordinary Christians could just go and pray. It would be a statement of support for Christianity and also defiance of the NWO. Hope they think of it over there.

The ArchDiocese of Paris has moved Notre-Dame to Saint Germain l'Auxerrois, the Medieval church some bridges further up the river across from the Louvre museum.

All services will be held there. The statue of Notre-Dame was also moved there.

Saint Germain l'Auxerrois is kind of small. It will not hold half of Notre-Dame seating... or less even.

Wiki (snips)
The Church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois is a Roman Catholic church in Paris situated at 2 Place du Louvre. It used to be the parish church for inhabitants of the neighbouring Louvre Palace.
Founded in the 7th century, the church was rebuilt many times over several centuries. The existing building was erected mostly in the 15th century, though some portions date to the late 13th century. It now has construction in Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles. The most striking exterior feature is the porch, with a rose window and a balustrade above which encircles the whole church, a work of Jean Gaussel (1435–39).[1] The belfry, which is older than the main building, was embellished in the 19th century.

No Christmas Mass.

Just a regular Jum'ah.

Macron wants Notre-Dame to be rebuilt for the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He will be the last voice on how the cathedral will be rebuilt and how it will look.

I see him deciding on a glass roof with a glass spire a la Burj Khalifa the same as in Dubai.

There will be swirling laser lights on top of the new spire.

Notre-Dame will serve as a multi-religious building in the future. It's obvious.

They have already invited a number of Muslim preachers to give talks on Sundays.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

I remember seeing the the film when it came out.
Paris was wonderful back in the 60's. We had nothing to fear.

Paris Brule-t'il.
I was 15.

Original music for the film was composed by Maurice Jarre.
Jean-Michel Jarre's father. There lies real talent.

Dr. Zhivago and other films and stage plays.

It seems like it happened in another lifetime.
Maybe it did?
