Having lived in Mexico City and been through a few big ones like in 85 you automatically look for the nearest exit when you are in a building, it's instinct. Getting under a plywood and aluminum desk isn't going to save you if the building comes down. After the quake in 85 they found that at a school that collapsed, the kids that survived were found in the rows between the desks, the kids under the desks got flattened. Vancouver has no fucking idea what will some day happen. I trust my instinct and have a plan, not just to get through the shaking but what to do afterward to safely exit a building and meet up with family if it's really bad.

Just a block from work they are building cheap not even up to code highrises on land fill (I know a guy that did the electrical and he says some of the support columns are already cracking before the building was finished). It won't even take a big quake to bring some of these highrises down.

Count me in as one “getting the vibe.”

Two nights ago I had a dream that seemingly insignificant geological signs were becoming evident around the country to the people who could see that we were about to have a massive earthquake that would impact the whole country. Hadn’t happened yet but it was about to.

Very shallow though... which tend to not be all that interesting. but the fact that there were multiple events of that range in magnitude, in a short period of time is intriguing.

increased flooding and rain amounts

increased winds, micro burst.

hurricanes\tornados where there where none in those ares before

Interesting hot spots!

The 9.1 earthquake and devastating tsunami in Sumatra ,Indonesia,took place on December 26, 2004; today is 24th; could be some planetary alignment, gravitational disturbance pulling the earth crust around winter solstice.

I know this is probably not scientific, but in my life it seems that many of the major earthquakes in the Northern hemisphere happen in Winter and early spring.

Boxing Day Quake/Tsunami (the 9.1 you mentioned)
Northridge was January
Kobe was 1 year to the day after Northridge (killed 6,000)
Japan Quake with Tsunami was March 11
Loma Prieta was mid-October and Nepal Earthquake was April, so don’t exactly fit, but not summer

Not as many in summer in the Northern hemisphere for whatever reason, or possibly just total coincidence.

Another weird thing that often seems to happen is when quakes (especially the much larger ones) start going off in the Pacific Ring of Fire, it’s like there are ones in each area of the rim—one in Alaska/Canada/USA, one in South America, one in Japan/China/Russia pacific area and one New Zealand/Indonesia/Australia general area. 4 quadrants.

That is weird. I am very close, on the southern Oregon coast. I haven't felt anything. I sleep lightly and have been awake since 6 AM. That big cluster is just east of here.

I can tell you that these weren't felt on land, and I'm within 100K of where they struck.

And earthquakes don't "relieve pressure" unless they're "The Big One." :)That releases ALL of the pressure because the plate unlocks.

That is not seismic data, it is geodetic.

yesterday as I was getting up.. feeding cats and making coffee.. FOX was covering this saying its unzipping.. more or less.. but since humans cannot predict or discern WHEN a quake will hit.. not to worry.

Strange synonymous terminology ,eclipses are considered bad omen since ancient time; mile markers for disasters death, wars, destruction, natural calamities.

btw, from December 22 to January 20 Iran,Russia and China are holding naval drills in eclipse area, the Gulf of Oman, Northern Indian Ocean.

In a previous life of mine, I experienced a 8+M Earthquake.
It was like the Devil roared his loud mouth, the sound it made, and ten, we were all ashook by the evil dangers which lurked above and around us. Chairs, desktop lamps, you name it.

It is still the most frightening experience which I endured.

Now, in regard to this to-written-as-such affidavit, the next biq quake, which is a little bit overdue, but not by much, Reckon I do: 14 years and the devil will roar his loud mouth even louder.

I suggest starting making preperations as soon as possible. Don't wait.

Go look for a hangout place already, rent something, or if you have the funds buy something.
