Milgram and also the Stanford Prison experiment brought huge reforms to the types of psychological experiments that can be done. Universities today can’t even come close to doing anything like those 2 experiments did. The government is the only one who could potentially do such a test. The fact you said Yale was involved makes this BS. |

Were you involved in these experiments somehow? A quick Internet search reveals nothing about this subject. Do you have anything other than your word to point to for independent confirmation? Anonymous Coward User ID: 75784349 United States 12/24/2019 11:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This isn't the Milgram's experiment. It's the next stage up. And so are the ramifications. Quoting: TlvmmCpoft ... Most of us know about the Milgram experiment, done by a psychologist at Yale University named Stanley Milgram, research on conflict between obedience to authority and personal conscience. The result was people who were quite happy to administer what they thought were lethal levels of electricity to other subjects, as long as they were being told to do so by an authority figure. ... Just like the Milgram experiment, this research has its roots at Yale, where it was being conducted in a later period between the late 1980s and early 1990s. Instead of testing to see if participants would kill another person when asked to by authority, this experiment tested to see if a person would die willingly if told to do so by authority. The participants were told they were going to die in the experiment and that they had two choices. They could go quietly and willingly, and as a reward they would be revived. They were told if they fought, then they would not be revived. Participants were completely submerged in a small therapeutic pool. A plastic sheet was then pulled over the surface of the water leaving no room for air. It was at this point that they had the option of willingly drowning without struggle, or struggling to free themselves. Many of the participants chose to drown quietly. They were rewarded for their efforts by being pulled from the water and revived after, with CPR and medical intervention. There was a non-survival rate due to the severity of the nature of the experiment. While national security is important, and this type of research - while not always pleasant - is done with it in mind, there are times when it is reasonable to assume they are crossing a line between traditional warfare and something much more deeply concerning. Merry Christmas from the cleanup crew. Don't say I never gave you anything. A person couldn't "drown quietly" if they tried. Involuntary survival reflexes would kick in. |

Merry Christmas from the cleanup crew. Don't say I never gave you anything. What do you think enlisting in the military is, DUH ! Marines are expected to have a 40 percent casuality rate in times of war. Its calculated in the averages As many people are naturally self preserving and selfish, young people that enlist are opposite, They psychologically know the ramifications that they might not return alive but they want to still serve their country |

Do you have anything other than your word to point to for independent confirmation? Familiarity with Human nature? In experiments, it has been conclusively shown that rats in communities of rats, are born with an instinctive sense of compassion for other rats in certain situations. This compassionate trait is not learned, the rats are born with this instinct. However, similar experiments with chimpanzee communities and also with human subjects, shows that chimps and humans DO NOT HAVE that instinctive drive for compassion towards each other. In chimps and humans, the compassionate traits must be taught. If the traits are not taught, the result is a psychopathic individual and then psychopathic society. |

And being of an independent mind don't follow orders. We don't operate like that in our family as our focus is mutual cooperation. The truth is incontrovertible. Quoting: Captain Casey Jones I think OP is telling the truth, and for certain the participants were not willing. No shortage of subjects apparently, maybe they got them from a national park? If he's telling the truth, homeless people, prostitutes, and other disenfranchised people where there would be little to no interest from law enforcement if they went missing.
