What is this urge we all seem to have to correct anything someone puts online?

I see it all the time & yes, I'm guilty as well! I caught myself about to do it the other day to a friend, I didn't do it & I actually felt better for NOT trying to correct someone.

What's weird, my friend had posted something about cars, totally insignificant, but I had this urge to correct a very minor detail. We never did this in person, at least not as much as we do online.

Everyone needs to try NOT correcting every minor detail. I think we all get a Dopamine rush from correcting people, Dopamine plays a role in how we feel pleasure, it's that feeling you get when gambling or finding money on the ground, experiences that make you feel good, including using drugs, activate your brain’s reward center, which responds by releasing dopamine. This release causes your brain to focus more of its attention on the experience. As a result, you’re left with a strong memory of the pleasure you felt.

So, everyone, if I try to correct you, remind me of this & you yourselves, try NOT correcting people as much. I think it has led to all of us being very combative, even among friends,which we should NOT be doing!
