They could be free to live in if we made them 500 ft wide, 1,000 ft long and 50 stories tall. 50,000 500 sq ft apartments. Build 100 of them in only 3 sq miles. Dig a giant cesspool and compost pit in the middle with a methane turbine generator and it'd probably be self sustaining with the solar panel roofs and walls because you wouldn't want windows, they aren't green.

They are doing this to my area. All homes are 1 acre lots. The land right next to me is 3.3 acre lots / horse peoperty. They are rezoning to fit 6 homes per acre. Total of 249 homes. Who will also use our private street. Plumiting my home value and the city will not help any of us here. Instead they said we want the tax revenue for a new basket ball court. We all paid a lot for our homes. These new homes will be low 200k.

They zoned my rural county about 10 years ago, and now you can't build a home outside of city limits unless you purchase 40 acres (around $12,000-$15,000 per acre) to put it on, or buy an existing acreage and tear down what is already there. You also need a permit for anything you do on "Your" property all the way down to digging a hole for a fence post. They also instituted onerous septic system regulations.

It used to be you could buy an acre or two of land out in the country and build on it, or put up whatever you felt like without a permit.

We could all go back to hunters and gatherers and the liberal loons would still find something to cry about.

How anyone still supports today's democratic party is beyond me.

We've got all that & more where I live in Maryland. You're not even allowed to erect a tent without a $60 permit. I wanted to put one up & stage some industrial equipment temporarily in my backyard. Figured this would keep rain off it & let me tinker with it a bit till I was ready to put it on a slab. Unfortunately, I gotta have an inspector sign off on it.

Madison Wisconsin is way ahead of the curve. They throttled single family home building a couple decades ago. Every building is now mixed income, with mandatory ground level shopping stores.

This year it is finally being reported that building owners are having great difficulty keeping tenants in the mandatory ground level stores. Nearly all have vacancies. Libtards claim they should lower the stores rent, but that only increases the rent of the apartments above in a town that already has sky high rent and a shortage of apartment units.

I live 4 miles outside of town.
They expanded the city limits about 6 miles outside of town so they can jack up everyone's property taxes who lives there.

No benefits either: They didn't expand the city water, sewer or gas beyond where they are now. If we need the cops for whatever reason, we have to summon the city police instead of the sheriff.

If liberals and marxists want to live like that go right ahead. I have no problem with them "concentrating" themselves in "camps." We all know how it will end.
