I’m sympathetic to the Hawaiians, who managed to sign away their sovereignty to us mainlanders. Their islands and Way of life are being destroyed. In turn, they vote against us every two years and take our tourism dollars. Yes, I’m sympathetic, but OP talking about rape and pillage is over the top. Also I didnt label you. I pointed out that a day in the life with your job differs only slightly from that of a child and yet somehow teachers have completely failed the youth for the last 50 years and continue to demand pay raises. And now you're complaining about the curriculum that you agreed to teach. Also you're trying to make yourself out to be some hero and a "whistleblower." You're a hypocrite. If you had integrity you'd quit teaching instead of "whistleblowing" on an obscure forum during your Christmas break.

In order to whistleblow, the conditions must be different than yours somewhere in order for the behavior to be "wrong".

Since you describe pretty much all US public schools now, there is nothing to whisleblow about. You are right about the worst of it - the chromebook not only spies on the kids and the family but it also is programming them ALL with exactly the same indoctrination.

An example that comes to mind is they teach the kids that the Europeans who came to Hawaii came here to rape and pillage and they never mention anything positive that they contributed. They are indoctrinating our children to be racist from a tiny age in the public school system. It's subtle but it's all over the curriculum.

But that isn't my biggest concern, my biggest concern is that every single student in this school system is assigned a Chromebook. That means that from the time a child is in kindergarden Google is tracking every single thing that kid does on the internet against the child's knowledge or consent. THIS IS A STALINISTS WET DREAM COME TRUE!!! Never before has a government had this kind of unmitigated access to the psychological profiles of individuals even as they are maturing (yes, I'm pretty sure that Google gives the USG whatever data it wants). Think of the longterm implications of this for a minute, especially if it's happening in most school systems in the country! That would mean all of our children's psych profiles will be readily available to the government when they turn 18. The ability to manipulate their psyche at that point using targeted advertising or more direct means cannot be underestimated.
