Anonymous Coward User ID: 77889465 United States 12/30/2019 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I quit smoking marijuana 2 weeks ago. I have been a regular smoker for the past 18 years. Moving from flower to concentrates a few years ago. I quit mainly because I was sick and saw that it was probably the opportune time to make such a decision. Based on my regular usage, frequency of which I smoked (all day, every day), one would assume that my usage falls under the "Cannabis Use Disorder" diagnosis. There were no side effects to my quitting. In all honesty, it didn't even take a conscious decision, I just stopped and didn't realize I had stopped until my sickness was fading. Not only did I quit smoking marijuana, I quit vaping nicotine as well. (previous cigarette smoker here). This is all hog wash. There is no addiction to marijuana, habits? sure but not addiction. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77889465 United States 12/30/2019 10:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A new study, published in JAMA Psychiatry last month, indicates that states that have legalized recreational cannabis use have seen an increase in risk of cannabis use disorder (CUD) among teens, as well as a rise in the number of adults who use weed. Quoting: Cannabis Kills People! The study’s authors say that the findings aren’t meant to advocate against the legalization of pot, but rather to inform of all the possible risks and dangers. Looking to examine the link between cannabis legalization and addiction in the US between 2008 and 2016, the study focused on the first four states to legalize cannabis (Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska). It used data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, and included 505,796 respondents divided into three age groups: adolescents (aged 12 to 17), young adults (18 to 25), and adults (26 and older). The study found that there was no relative increase in use, frequent use, or CUD among young adults (aged 18 to 25) in states that have, in fact, legalized recreational cannabis. Good on ya brother. We all have choices we can make. Depending on the situation, cannabis can help with pain or insomnia. Or just even cure depression. You have proved your point. Compared to alcohol which I have witnessed has caused major problems within my family. Nothing but problems where as there has never been such the case with marijuana. Op is a POS. Start preaching about all the dead bodies from drunk drivers you asshole. |
