U.S. spies are no longer being tailed by foreign governments in about 30 different countries because advances in facial recognition, biometrics and artificial intelligence have made it almost impossible for the agents to hide.

Whereas governments would once physically follow CIA officers, facial recognition at airports and general CCTV surveillance in those countries makes it far easier to track people.

handlers control assets... so, this doesn't really pose much trouble. obviously, the james bond spy doesn't exist. there are handlers (filed agents) and the people they run. so, as long as the field agent has a good cover and was ever made, it shouldn't matter, right?

Everybody knows now. They have agents in literally every country in the world. At least hundreds of thousands of them, and everyone knows. They don't care because countries can't fully admit the reality that spy games are playing out right in city squares without causing mass hysteria, and these have multi-citizenship and work real jobs in important sectors.

Could you imagine if half of IT was escorted out the door by men in black? The disruption to business would be catastrophic and it would cause panic. They can't do anything about it.

facebook already does this and has refined it's facial recognition... and morans who are on facebook helped them to do so. i already have some photo programs that have facial recognition built in. it's scary.

Facial reconstructive surgery, even just a nose job fucks it up. So do prosthetics. So there is really nothing to this at all.

i think there will soon be easily wearable "masks" that will fuck with it soon available. ones tht you can't notice easily and that only change some of the points in your face that are measured.

yes, most spying these days are done electronically. but, having moles still could play crucial roles. but again, these are usually not cia agents, but assets run by handlers and locals that would not show up on these facial lists
