Sobek however to demonstrate his power gave the Shaman what he sought in return for his life. In the end the Shaman accomplished what he set out to do, however due to his spirtual Hubris he failed to notice a Life for a Life is the only compensation that balances out. Nahhh... It's more a matter of turning your back on the One True God of heaven. There are places all over in scripture where God allows a dumbass to be killed by a lion, a wild bear, or a pack of dogs.
