But I grew up suffering from night terrors almost identical to OP and over the course of 40 years I learned to not only overcome them but take control of them exactly as I am describing. It’s not exactly like your having a conversation with yourself because the subconscious doesn’t have higher brain functions at its disposal only a simple thought can be translated. For me it’s “ aware “. I am aware of where I am. I am aware I am dreaming and have nothing to fear. And from there my subconscious can take flight and I can dream of being in a playboy mansion if it wants and that’s just it too it’s not about what YOU want. It’s about your subconscious what it wants. But you can empower it to take control of the experience and turn it from fear to enjoyment with a simple thought. “ aware “

I dated a girl who claimed to be haunted. The only times in my life that I had sleep paralysis were with her. I repeatedly saw a large dark thing that was too tall for an 8 ft ceiling. She was into the darker side of occult stuff and ended up being a very unhappy, angry person. I haven't had any sleep paralysis since I left her.

I agree! When I feel that vibration, I know I am about to fly out my bedroom window, and I know I am asleep. I get so excited, and pray I don’t wake up. Also, I see shadowy figures with my eyes open or closed. Have to sleep with a dream machine.

It always happens when I am withdrawing from Booze.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar1 Disorder, however, I consider it less than illness and more of a gift. I've seen and heard many things. Some less than terrifying and others not so much.

Four years ago I rented a condo room owned by a guy pretty deep into VouDou. In this condo I had some of the most terrifying experiences I have documented. Your experience is a reminder of one. One night I was playing a video game and noticed there was what appeared to me as a man in a child's body. No disrespect to people of less physical height, and the reason I thought child was the man appeared to be sitting in a high chair next to my bed. He appeared to be holding a game controller and playing video games with me. No big deal in my opinion. This person doesn't seem to want to harm me. He's having fun, I thought. I saw this person two different times.

One night after I saw this being, I was in the kitchen talking with one of the guys who rented a room in the condo. We always talked about the crazy VouDou our landlord engaged in. This roommate was very spiritual in nature. A good guy from what I know. He said to me "the strangest thing happened to me while I was sleeping. I had a dream there was a manchild standing over me trying to hurt me." I was stunned. He mentioned trying to defend himself but couldn't move. Sleep paralysis I assume. It's safe to say I didn't feel comfortable sharing my experience with him.

I was unable to achive astral travel through sleep paralysis due to panicking but ended up with lucid dreams lots of time. This OBE happened spontaneously when i was sleeping in a hotel room in a different city that i was visiting at the time. Its been a long time so i can't remember the exact details, but it happened so effortlessly as i was lying on the bed going into sleep. I had no intention to astral travel, it just happened quickly without the scary stuff which happens during sleep paralysis. I cant remember any phase, just ended up out of my body and gained conciousness. First i saw my bed from few feets away then hovered around the room for a while.

My dearest beloved daughter, I must inform you that a third world war is going to take place. My tears are flowing this morning as you can see. *

The Second Seal will prove to be as predicted by John the Evangelist in the Book of Revelation. It will start in Europe. Your banking system will be the cause and Germany, once again, will be involved in this tragedy, as it was in the two previous wars. When it begins, a lot will have been done to save the economy and the disaster will affect Greece with great fallout on France.

The Middle East will also be involved in a war between Israel and Iran, and Syria will play an important role in the fall of Egypt.

That is why I urge all of God's children today to store dry, non-perishable food to feed their families. If possible, it is important to grow your own vegetable garden. Remember, however, that prayer can alleviate much of this suffering.

The effect of this war will be that My Catholic Church on Earth will be sucked into one world church, in the name of unification. This unification, or false peace, will become reality after the appearance of the antichrist to create a false peace and supposedly end the war. This peace pact will concern the West until China and Russia become involved in world affairs.

They will constitute a threat to the "Beast with Ten Horns", Europe, and will defeat it to introduce communism.

The “Red Dragon”, China, already imposes itself in the world by its control of world finances.

Oh absolutely. The mind is very VERY powerful weather you believe in God or not doesn’t change a thing when it comes to the power of the mind. I truly believe a lot of ancient belief systems are based on people who were able to harness the power of it. That being said I do believe in God too but that’s for another thread. In any case this subject is very near and dear to my heart as I deal with this myself and the one thing I’ve learned about my own mind is that in its deepest darkest recess just like anyone else it’s biggest fear is death. That’s why the demons. People are afraid to die. It’s really as simple as that. And in that unconscious state your mind tricks itself into thinking that’s what’s happening. Exactly! Even if I can't speak I call out to Jesus. He's the one who puts a stop to it. I do that even when I'm dreaming of being attacked. Amazing things happen when you do that.

I was not afraid when it came at me because I knew that all I had to do was call out the name of Jesus and it would flee. And, it not only left but ran from me. LOL!

Same thing with sleep paralysis...you only have to get the audible words out of "Jesus" and they will flee. Remember, demons cannot read your mind, you have to speak it.

Well said! Only fools don't believe in God. Ive been able to reach this state through relaxation and meditation and man it's even stranger transitioning slowly. Once you start getting there intentionally it starts happening more.

You need to learn how to properly sage your own house.
Do that once a month with proper spiritual intent and you will create a type of shield around the house.

This is no joke.. The bible won't save you, neither will calling out to jesus. You have to will the negative energy away.. There is a high chance this is your own higher spirits shadow self trying to gain a stronghold in your house, and by house I mean your body temple. First it will try to gain access to your house and needs your permission but lack of denial also can let them seep in. Be strong in your conviction in eviction. Learn to sage.. Had it in later child to teen years, not much. The one thing I could control was my abdomen. Nothing bad ever happened that I remember. When it set on, I learned soon enough to begin breathing, just heaving that stomach up and down to escape. It would shake me out of it somehow and always worked.

Now, the Astral... prepare with prayers for a shield of protection and angels to guide you. All I can offer, but the breathing technique worked quickly.

Soon all those who have led My Church in the past, all those who give God's children the True Word of God in My Church, and all those who remain faithful to the Truth, will be pushed to the side. The Catholic Church will make a number of disturbing statements, such as explaining why it must change and modify each part of its structure. She will use the sins of My Church members and those who betrayed Me to justify this upheaval in My Church. Many of My sacred servants will be excluded and will serve as scapegoats. Many will be chased and false claims, along with other allegations, will be spread to damage their good reputation before they are fired. This is how many sacred servants will be removed from My Church, to allow God's enemies to take full control of it from within. Oh ! How you will all be deceived! And how the Truth will be hidden, hidden and then forgotten! All of these changes will happen quickly, later, and many will be amazed at the spread of these things. At the heart of it all will be confusion, fear, sadness and great distress. My Church will have become so fragmented that the trust within its walls will be broken. God is giving you a glimpse of whats going to happen when you die. This happened to me starting in 1997 and am better now. Accept His Son Jesus as Lord and His gift of life that He paid for on the cross and live forever.

I've experienced it several times. Like you, I seem to wake up, but can't move and can't talk. My wife is laying next to me in the bed sound asleep and I see a shadowy figure at my bedroom door.

I try to move but I can't. I try to scream for my wife, but I can't.

The figure starts coming toward what seems to be running I try to scream and then seem to pass out and then wake up later sweating profusely.

I'll roll over and hug my wife and literally start crying quietly.

I feel your pain man. I do.
