Stories of mission workers being killed and taken hostage are a familiar thing. Should they even be there in the first place? Why would they even be compelled to do it, knowing that these people won’t be converted and will only kill them? Do these people even have any place trying to spread the gospel there when they could be doing so in their own communities? Quoting: TheConfederateComerade The first problem is that they are spreading Religion, not the "gospel". The "gospel" that religion spreads, is a version of John the Baptists "gospel", not the one that Jesus sent his disciples out with. John's gospel was about finding repentance. Jesus' gospel was "kingdom of heaven is at hand" or living in God's kingdom. Religion is all about keep us tied up in repentance, works. good deeds, etc. Not about living in the Kingdom, today and everyday. |

It’s my opinion that The Gospel should be spread. I don’t care who does it. People need to hear the good news that they can be saved and can live forever. Quoting: Literally Hitler Jehovah’s Witnesses do this. Google says they are in 240 countries knocking on doors and street witnessing. Here’s their website. They even offer free online bible studies without even speaking to someone. [link to www.jw.org (secure)] |

Romans 10:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” |

I would recommend they stop that and start spending their time re-spreading it in the US (and Europe) where it is being abandoned by the younger generations for secular worship of derangement and the over-powerful state. |

I would rather be those missionaries than the OP come Judgement Day. They went to the country with brotherly love in their hearts for the lost people there. If some savages don't understand and kill them, that's their loss and their sin. |
