I first found out about Moringa plant here, in a thread, several years ago. Supposed to have lots of medicinal benefits, etc. Also good for nourishing your soil so your garden is healthier.

So we finally found a source who has the plants, and gave us seed pods.

Now D-I-L kind of smirks whenever I say, "I can't wait to use that stuff, make tea of it, spread it in the garden, etc."

She kind of goes, "Yeah, like it's a MEDICINAL.

I think she's saying, "It's a drug, like marijuana, you dope."

But I didn't think it WAS! I thought it truly IS a medicinal plant and very healthy!

So is she misinformed or do I look like a jerk for thinking this thing is great and NOT LIKE MJ?? Or is she wrong???

Anybody have experience with Moringa plant? I honestly don't know much about it - OR MJ....

Nope, moringa does not make you high. Its original name is murungai in Tamil. It is a household tree in rural tamilnadu and may be other states of South India. Murungai moved from India to Brazil and then Fidel Castro took it to Cuba and asked his people to make it a household tree.

It has both medicinal value and nutritional value in iron. We use both the leaves and the drum-stick in Saambhaar, which is like ur gravy, that can be mixed with both rice as well as other cooked food.

Vegetarians use cooked drumsticks for a better sex session as well.

The tree grows well and bears more drumsticks with sewage water rather than normal water.
