Wild Turkeys Hang Out with Hunter in Tree Stand

Def not wild turkeys. They're hoping for a treat. Still funny!

my guess is the turkey was hand raised and likes people. She could have been hand raised by him, and it's just a joke video. However, I've had hand-raised pheasants arrive to my property. I think some hunters actually hand raise game birds to release. Just like some fishers stock their ponds.

Me too. I think most animals are released into the wild but grown somewhere else. Too many people have encroached their habitat and food source, they can't survive. Nothing is real.
Even predator animals were hunted to extinction levels until people decided to bring them back.

The first one looks almost exactly like one of my turkey hens. Have a big alpha tom and 3 hens that are wild and raised in captivity. They free range here in the warm weather.

Thinking about making a sign for the door of their enclosure...

Aww, I love wild turkeys. I see them frequently here in MN. I once ran into a nest of young ones while walking the trail, and was shocked to discover that they nest in rounded-out hollows on the ground rather than in trees.

Could easily be real. Might be tame free range turkeys that happened upon the hunter and wanted a treat.

Turkeys aren't great fliers to begin with and the chicks even less so, they would have gone extinct long ago.

Duuuuude! Wild ! Many years ago I had one next to me I a stand on Marrowback Ridge. It took off after the sun came up with a huge noise startled me whe. It took to flight. This post Is great stuff.

For the historians:

When I was a kid in the early 1960s, we hunted on Flat Rock Ranch near Bandera, TX.

The owner of the ranch was an old man named Gould.

He told us...

"One day I was driving my pickup around the ranch. I saw a young turkey roosting the the bottom branches of a cedar tree.

The only gun I had with me was an old 10 gauge single shot with a bulge in the barrel from when someone had fired it with mud blocking the end of the barrel.

I aimed and fired at the young turkey. Then, I found out that an entire flock was roosting in that tree that I had not seen.

I killed 17 turkeys with one shot!

Would have gotten my name in the Bandera newspaper if it had been in season".

Always funny to see them coming down from the trees. Especially the bigger/heavier ones.

Turkeys are not exactly the most graceful birds.
