20K power outages east of me.. We're under a 3 hour tornado watch in NC.

Northwest Indiana, snowing/sleet. EVERYTHING is coated in ice. Went to take the dog out for a walk 1/2 hour ago, and barely made it down the stairs without falling. My little Jewel slipped down the last 2 steps.I got it all coated with salt now, so no more slipping. Every blade of grass in my yard is coated with an ice/snow mix, making my back yard looking like a white shag rug.My gates are frozen shut with the ice, and I am sure I will have a problem getting in my car in the morning to go to church.

The rivers are flooding over here from all the rain we had last night and earlier today. Many roads are flooded out also.With the high winds we had here, garbage cans are all down across the alley. Some fences are blown down, and a lot of tree branches are down, and more will come down with the ice build-up.I hope we don't lose power, but we are prepped if we do.

We do get tornado's here too, in the late Spring and early Summer. We have had several very close calls, literally over our heads, and across the alley.Here is a vid of one that touched down right across the street from my middle daughter's house 7 years ago, which is right across the alley from my house.The vid is from the park cam 2 blocks from us, after it touched down in our neighborhood.It caused a lot of damage, mild to moderate.Our house and my daughter's had no damage, but other's were not as lucky.

I watch them closely during weather events, and you do a fantastic service for everyone.

It is still 73 degrees here in the house without any heat on.
It has been gusty winded today and tonight with rain coming and going in spurts kind of heavy.

We seen something like this back in the early 90's, picking yellow dandelions in January in the cemetary.
Right after that we got hit with a blizzards first one left people without power for 8 days.
Split and broke down dad's apple trees.

This is like a re-cycle of that cycle we already went through before.

We lost power here for a short while, but it is back on. It did flicker a few minutes ago, but so far, still on. The roads are horrible and the cops are telling people to stay off of them. Lots of ice and lots of accidents.

All good in middle NC. Some branches and a shitton of prickerballs everywhere but the worst is past.

Everybody pull through okay?

Well here in the Netherlands we haven't seen any sign of winter yet. This week it will be 12 degrees Celcius (53 degrees Fahrenheit) normally we have frost or temperatures just above freezing.
