Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78334164 it was typical fucking thunderstorms. if the wind blew 20mph I would be surprised. they claimed it was gonna be 70 mph I understand there may be damaging winds/tornados/etc, but this doom hype horseshit for every line of thunderstorms that come through is the biggest bunch of fake news horseshit by sensationalist weather men trying to get more ratings and social media clicks. |

I do not know why everyone forgets this year after year saying it is not normal. I'm an old guy and it used to be cold for 5 months out of the year. Yeah I've only been down here four years but it's not even been warm enough to freeze the grass and ground yet...theres still bugs everywhere outside |

Idk but I'm just glad I'm not in the very cold climates anymore...i grew up on the great Lakes with hardly any heat |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74632481 United States 01/11/2020 09:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes. I do not know why everyone forgets this year after year saying it is not normal. I remember back when we did NOT have tornadoes here in the midwest during the winter. Maybe you are just a young whippersnapper and don't have a lot of years under your belt. Also, we did NOT have these double-decker winter storms with blizzards on the northern part of the system and tornadoes on the southern part of it. A winter storm was either a snowstorm or blizzard type storm, or some rain. Not usually these flooding rains, and I'm not even sure if there was thunder and lighting in the winter. That was for spring and summer storms. And in the springtime, there would be one or two strong storms and that would mostly be it. Later on, in my adulthood, more spring tornadoes started happening. So...yep. It wasn't normal, though I reckon it is now. The weather has changed over the decades. I don't know what "normal" is anymore. |
