Way down here in Barbour county Alabama. It's sticky and 71 F, going to be 75. You can feel the heavy air, even smells are stronger outside. It's been showering off and on, some wind but not too bad yet. It seems like the bad part is supposed to get here around 4pm and leave after 6pm. It gets dark early so I guess I'll be unable to see anything going on after 5. When it gets lighter outside, there's a yellow cast to everything.

Idk but my fibro and arthritis pain is thru the roof,,,when these harrp storms come I can feel the storms actually intensify, put jeep in the barn, waiting for doom... No tv and weather radio broke,,I'm in shoal creek valley in a doublewide..worst place to be. I won't go down to the shelter, don't want to leave my dogs ...

The squall line is going over Mobile now. A bit underwhelming. A few strong sustained gusts. Maybe 50 mph. Now it's just rain and not very heavy.

Huntsville native here- lived near RSA. 74 our home demolished. 73 was the floods. Times printed in blue. In Athens now with storms rolling through- not bad. Going to head to Guntersville in a few to see family.

Our high is 74 and right now it's 72. Crazy. I don't remember it ever being this hot in January. Windy at 20 mph. Storm to hit us at 5-6pm. We're going to my husband's office. We live on the on the 3rd and top floor of apartments so we aren't staying here even though they're new. We're in the 20 minutes SW of Knoxville. I feel it's going to be bad. Been howling all day.

More like the rough terrain the storms are travelling over...here in the Ozarks, strong storms get shredded too.

I only have one rescue right now , adopted another rescue out yesterday...my dogs are my family besides my boys...we have nobody else. Lots of people dump them out here so I started a rescue . rescued dozens in the last four years here .

I was caught outside in an EF1 tornado last October so anything short of that is underwhelming to me. I may not be the best judge.

Still, I don't anticipate and serious damage or injuries in SW Alabama.
