Not to mention even the ancient men who we perceive as cave men, were apex predators in an ice age ecosystem. I think many of the dinosaurs, that were called dragons by all cultures until recent times, were in fact bio weapons designed to exterminate ancient man.

Its funny humans seem to knock out the largest beasts systematically to the point of extinction.. We are the apex predators, even dragons, leviathans and behemoths got extincted by our intellect and design.......

- Better air quality, higher oxygen content

- Cleaner food with better nutrients

1. No one has ever observed an animal transitioning into another species.

neanderthal suffered of a cognitive handicap respect homo sapiens. They were not real time processing. They would react or non react as animals to situations and only aftermath would process what happened.

Good point I have not studied gorilla biology much, but off the top of my head they probably fight with their faces. Humans have extremely long intestines whereas predators ie dogs have only a few feet of intestine....That's why we can die easily from eating raw meat, and why we have to cook it before consumption.

Hypothetically speaking, because who knows what they were really like..

I think it can be hard with non human specimens. Humans we can age because we know when certain parts of the body develop - like skull sutures, or if a female is old enough to give birth, etc.

With non humans like Neanderthals, their developmental time frame may be quite different. Some things maybe we could guess at from size - an infant compared to an adult, of course, but aging several adults might be difficult without proper context.

Why on earth would a powerful gorilla with very strong arms and very strong legs, fight with his face.
