The SKS doesn't suffer from the wobble in the middle that AK do, it's a very solid platform for hunting at ranges above 200 yards. And with an attached Bayonet you can still defend yourself if the hog is close enough to gore you with a tusk. |

A mount exists that attaches to the rear sight A pistol scope or similar optic can-be effectively used Since the rounds eject nearly vertical your scope may take a beating Walk away from the cheap rear dustcover mounts, you will never maintain zero |

My OCD forces me to convert everything to matching aesthetics, call me a perfectionist. Very interested in OP's scope mount, as I'd be interested in getting one, ya know, for reasons... Make a long story short, I got a little too carried away with the dremel tool trying to take the pin out of the gas tube so I could put some pretty furniture on her. Instead, she got damaged, and leaked gas after every round. Preventing her from cycling. A nice lesson in gunsmithing, from a Yugoslavian whore, my little SKS. Cleaning the cosmoline was a bitch, the dirty slut. Had to cover up her scars with fucking tapco of all the worthless materials that could be used... fucking tapco. Still, they're about the only company that makes magazines for them, though, and remember what I said about OCD? The only thing worse than a plastic rig, is a wooden / plastic hybrid.
