I second Lance's statement. I knew a guy who intervened in a situation where some dude was beating his girlfriend's ass. He drove by & saw a lady getting a savage beatdown, stopped his car & ordered the guy to stop. The guy kept on hitting her so he tackled him & got him in a headlock. Next thing he knew, the battered woman was attacking him.

He got arrested & charged with assault & battery, & this same woman lied to protect the boyfriend & implicate him. Chivalry is dead. If you try to be a good samaritan & help, this nightmare scenario is a real possibility.

A real man takes that risk..

I learned the hard way to, I just walked up and said, is everything okay, and I got hit from behind by his buddy in the shadows, got a punch in the eye from the front and got knocked out and my head landed on concrete and have a weird TBI where everything functions but I have a hard time learning anything new. Skill wise. I'm a mediator, I get paid for it. But will never do that again.

Let the boy and girl sort it out. Maybe wait in the wings in case he really starts beating her to the point of needing an ambulance, but then, call an ambulance. Fuck that, I forgot how to read a tape measure and need one of them that has all the numbers on it and I simply can not memorize the dashes. Weird. It wasn't worth it.

I see a couple arguing or fighting something purely between the two. Whether other people are involved in the reasoning for the fighting or not. Some people dont know how to handle situations like grown ups so you have mentally handicapped people acting like grown children especially when it comes to relationships and drama between one another.

I have heard couples fighting before, never seen an actual physical altercation but I always say to myself "Keep Walking, I dont want to get involved with this, I have no clue what started it, whats going to happen next."

Its one thing to go into a situation feeling like the need to be a Hero, but in my opinion a Hero doesnt even seek FAME or fortune. It just happens.
