Actually seismic and volcanic activity are relatively low compared to norms. Additionally, the earthquake that hit Puerto Rico was a moderate quake and the after shocks have been of expected magnitude. All are normal for that region of the world. Also, the Taal eruption was not massive and was a small to moderate eruption, probably only a VEI 3. There are currently 25 active volcanoes compared to almost 40 a few years ago.

I found weird though, in Dec I was topping up my kids pool (summer here), its a portable thing I keep on the driveway under a tin carport, so it stays algae free (minimal direct sunlight), but quite cold.

Our water comes from a well about 70M (210FT) deep, and is normally ice cold, but both times I filled this year, the water coming out the well was warmer than the water in the pool, still cool but not icey, this has never happened before.

I will check it again next time I fill my tanks to see if this is still like that.
