Christian moms group launches petition to have Burger King remove commercial featuring the word ‘damn’

The conservative Christian group One Million Moms is taking Burger King to task over a commercial for it’s “Impossible” Whopper, a vegetarian hamburger that the fast-food giant launched earlier this year.

So why are the “Moms” upset? Well, as they note in a statement, “One man is completely shocked that the burger is not beef, so he uses the d-word to describe how he feels about himself for being deceived by the taste of the burger.” And the d-word in question is “damn,” which he says after taking a bite, as in:

“Damn that’s good.”

Now, OMM has started a petition to have the Burger King commercial removed. It has collected 8500 signatures so far.

This isn’t the first imbroglio between Burger King and OMM. Last May the organization took exception to Burger King’s Real Meals campaign, which trotted out the phrase “DGAF” and the word “pissed.”
