These are the 2 Bloomberg groups petitioning the ATF to reclassify large numbers of semi-auto guns as illegal under the NFA Act from the 1930s which outlawed automatic guns. They're also trying to regulate out of existence the entire aftermarket of gun parts & accessories (like 80% lowers for ARs).

A handful of Senators are stalling Trump's ATF adminstrator appointee Charles Canterbury, an anti-gun Bloomberg operative & advocate for "Red Flag" laws, but Trump is using pressure tactics to get the guy in. If Canterbury takes the reins at ATF, it's over for 2A. This guy will ram through the entire Soros-Bloomberg gun confiscation scheme. Trump set this nightmare in motion by ordering the leftist-run DOJ to instruct BATF to "reclassify" bump stocks (an accessory) as a "machinegun."

Thanks a lot Trump! What happened to your bold campaign proclamation that the long "8 year assault against the Second Amendment" was finally over?

I'm really concerned about what the consequences of Trump's bump-stock ban might be.

He unilaterally redefined what a 'machine gun' is. Before that, a machine gun was defined by a very specific definition of how the trigger group functioned. A machine gun was a gun capable of firing MULTIPLE rounds with a SINGLE trigger pull, period. It had nothing to do with how fast you can shoot through a magazine or anything else; it was a technical definition concerning the mechanics of its fundamental design.

But that's been thrown out the window. Now it has nothing to do with amount of rounds fired per pull. Now, a gun that fires just once per trigger pull can be a machine gun. So you know what that means?

Any semi-automatic is now a stroke of a pen away from being outlawed as a machine gun. There is no longer a technical definition of machine gun. It is now completely subjective. A 'machine gun' is whatever the person in power says it is. That's fucking TERRIFYING.

Exactly! Trump set a "precedent" - he basically authorized the BATF to legislate through regulation. Our Constitution prescribes that legislators propose a bill, debate & vote on it, & then the President either signs it into law or vetoes it (unless Congress had a veto-proof majority).

Trump is acting like a dictator (& he's not the first). With a stroke of his pen, he's imposing his will on us & bypassing the Constitution. The left had their anti-gun activists pushing for EXACTLY the same kind of unconstitutional bureaucratic tyranny via regulatory agencies like ATF, DOJ, etc. And now the ATF is doing more of what Trump did with the bump stock ban.

They've already arbitrarily "reclassified" Origin SBV semiauto firearms as "destructive devices" under NFA Act. Those guns cost around $2400. Their owners became felons overnight when ATF reclassified them, & the owners were ordered to destroy them or face criminal charges. They even have pictures on their website showing how to cut up every last part of the gun to render it inoperable. Note: zero compensation is offered to the gun's owner who purchased it legally.

They've recently done this same exact thing with other firearms, & the Kalishnikov "Komrade" is next on the chopping block. Then next are AR-15s & AK-47s/74s, & on & on & on. If Trump's gungrabber guy Canterbury gets in, Bloomberg will be ruler of ATF. Bloomberg is already filing petitions so the guy has "authorization" to outlaw all semiautos. Clearly he's got a "mandate from the people" in these petitions, & legal precedent under Trump's presidency. To hell with that useless relic called the U.S. Constitution.
