I work at a home improvement store, mostly cash register, but sometimes I’m out and about doing shit in the store. Contractor type guys come up to me all the time and are like “where can i find an obscure part” or they’ll be asking me if this and that would work for their particular project. And I always just look at them and my eyes clearly say “don’t you know I’m a girl and have no fucking clue what you’re even saying to me”

Based on that, I think most people would definitely trust female mechanics.
