Most newer vehicles require diagnosis and a part change. Women tend to be slightly more methodical than men. May take little bit longer but will be a neater job when done. As far as a quick fix, emergency fix, pit crew, I'd heir towards a man. I'm sure there is some woman or some women out there who are great mechanics. However, it's slightly outside the box for the physical and psychological make up of MOST women. I'm sure there are good female fighters but against even a mediocre male their skulls would be crushed.
